FELLOWS COURSE

The course is intended for current Interventional Cardiology Fellows and 3rd year General Cardiology Fellows planning to enter into an Interventional Cardiology program.

• Internationally acclaimed faculty will present techniques for approaching complex and high-risk coronary interventional procedures
• Contemporary approach to calcified coronary lesions
• Intravascular coronary imaging for optimal PCI outcomes
• Case based examples for managing interventional complications
• Understand the utility of hemodynamic support for high-risk coronary interventions
• Review the basics of coronary balloon angioplasty and an approach to lesion preparation prior to using coronary drug eluting balloons to prevent restenosis
• Evaluating and incorporating updated approaches to carotid interventions
• Identifying patients with uncontrolled hypertension and incorporating renal denervation 
• New techniques and outcomes for structural heart interventions

• Round-Trip Airfare or Mileage Reimbursement, in accordance with Scholarship Guidelines (see download link below)
• Hotel accommodations (2 Nights) at the Estancia La Jolla Resort & Spa on August 27th and 28th
